TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
We accept bookings online and by mail, email and telephone. To secure your booking, we require an up-front payment of 30% of the total charge for your stay. We accept Credit & Debit Cards. No booking is binding until the deposit is paid.
Before departure, we expect the rest of the amount due to be paid in full.
We accept the following methods of payment:
Credit Cards: Mastercard, Visa.
Debit Cards: Visa/Delta, Maestro
Cash
La Chapellenie is an historic building with a centuries-old feature staircase handcrafted from oak and walnut; this does mean that, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children under the age of 12 years, or companion animals. Please make sure before booking that stairs are not a problem for you as our rooms are on the first and second floors.
Arrival and Departure
Check-In is between 15.00 – 17.00, arrivals outside of these times will need to be pre-arranged with us. Check Out on the day of departure is no later than 11.00
Cancellation Policies
We understand that cancellations do happen. If, unfortunately, you need to cancel your reservation, please email us at bonjour@lachapellenie.com. All cancellations within 7 days of your arrival date will incur a penalty of the full deposit used to secure the room. If longer notice of cancellation is given, the deposit will be returned in full.
Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full.
Termination Policy
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to terminate without notice an individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non-compliance with our non-smoking policy will be grounds for termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.
Damage to bed & breakfast property
Please let us know immediately if there are any problems. We are reasonable and understand that damages can happen. If so we will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists, making every effort to keep costs that the guest would incur to an absolute minimum.
However, we do reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying any damage caused to the Bed & Breakfast property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/debit card or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.
Breakfast
Breakfast will be served between 08.30 and 10.00 each morning. If you have specific dietary requirements or any allergies or intolerances, please let us know in advance of your arrival so that we can do our best to accommodate you.
Smoking
We have a strict No Smoking and No Vaping policy in our property. Anyone smoking inside will be liable for a €100 additional cleaning charge, paid directly to the host and will be asked to leave.
Change of Room
If a booking is taken out for a specific room and the room reserved is rendered unusable via circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room.
Keys
You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at €15.00 per set.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.
Lost Property
We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of €20.00 to cover postage and packaging. If we have not been able to contact you to make arrangements for return of left items within 30 days of your departure, you agree that we can dispose of such items.
Missing Items
We reserve the right to charge for missing items.
Wi-Fi Access
We provide Wi-Fi access subject to a Fair and Appropriate Usage policy. The service provided is intended for general use such as access to the internet, email and social media. It is not intended for gaming or extensive downloading/uploading. Any illegal activity is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect. This agreement is governed by the laws of France and the parties hereto submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
